This department would provide all the IT and communication structure to a construction company with a widely dispersed operation. To do so, we deployed a satellite network in all the construction sites. This network gave access to the company's ERP, corporate email and colaboration tools, a sharepoint portal and VOIP communication. This network had over 400 workstations (laptop and desktop) accessing our head office in Luanda. This department was also responsible for the implementation of a GPS tracking system installed in all the company's cars, trucks and construction machines. In parallel we created and implemented working procedures and security policies. The IT department also delivered and managed the cellular communications. I was responsible for the purchase of all IT equipment in Angola and the international markets and also for the management of the human resources concerning the IT department.
