A technology related bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of training and experience plus 7 years of related experience. Requires demonstrated technical expertise in circuit and mask design and prior supervisory experience. Should have effective communication and positive human relations skills. An advanced degree preferred and may reduce the minimum experience requirement.
Spansion is embarking on the design of a new family of Data Storage Flash memory products in 40nm and 30nm technology with 8-32Gb density. The section manager will have coordinating and technical responsibility to either a key sub-block or complete product in the product family. The ideal candidate will be a circuit design expert in Flash memory for handling the management of the design from first concept through to production. The qualified candidate will have in-depth knowledge of analog and mixed-signal circuits with hands on experience using circuit simulation tools at transistor level (e.g. HSPICE, HSIM). Experience with low current sensing techniques and high speed I/O preferred. Knowledge of high voltage techniques is also desired. Knowledge of digital circuit techniques and methodology is also desired with experience using Verilog simulator. Managing the integration of the circuit blocks for the whole product into chip-wide simulation is a necessary skill. Other important attributes are: knowledge of memory architectures, ability to develop new circuit functions from basic concepts, ability to decide and implement preferred design direction for optimum performance and cost. Candidate should have excellent problem solving skills, creative thinker, inventive and good communication. |
