The Unique Opportunity.
Due to continuing company success, an exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced and ambitious consulting professional who can demonstrate strong research skills, team leadership, strategic planning, and client management capabilities. The Automation & Transportation Consulting practice is dedicated to partnering with leading industry players within the logistics, automotive testing and diagnostics, commercial vehicles, safety/driving assistance/warning systems and powertrain business communities, by providing strategic market research and bespoke consulting solutions.
This senior position would encompass the leadership and development, design and fulfillment of bespoke consulting projects for European clients, by managing/leveraging a team of Consultants and Researchers across Frost & Sullivan’s global operation. The role of Principal Consultant is responsible for ensuring the integrity of the research process, the validity of intelectual property and project content, whilst developing detailed business and market strategies. The consultant will also be the definative point of contact with the client and will be required to demonstrate expert industry knowledge and develop strong business partnerships.
Key Responsibilities:
• Managing the delivery of major strategic projects, developing bespoke client solutions through commercial leadership.
• Proactively developing and managing client relationships, conduct detailed business needs analysis and demonstrating expert industry knowledge.
• Leading a team of Associate Consultants, providing support, mentoring and expert advice.
• Project management of global client projects.

| Skills: |
Qualifications, Knowledge and Experience.
The successful candidate will be an extremely professional and committed consultant/research professional with a thorough understanding of market research and consulting methodologies. Proven success with business development, direct client interaction, custom project fulfilment and team leadership is also essential.
Essential:
• Previous strategic consulting experience within a relevant consulting or advisory environment and/or experience within a senior analytical position in the Automotive/Transportation industry.
• Advanced experience and ability to develop strong business relationships, create proposals, negotiate and close business.
• Outstanding project and team management skills.
• A strong understanding of market research/consulting methodologies
• Articulate with excellent written and oral communication skills with business level fluency in the English language.
• A relevant degree level education or equivalent.
Desirable:
• Knowledge or experience of the logistics, rail systems, automotive testing and diagnostics, chasisi technologies & driving dynamics, commercial vehicles, ITS, telematics & infotainment, powertrain and alternative propulsion, and/or safety, driving assistance and warning systems markets.
• A Business postgraduate qualification (MA and/or MBA).
• A second European language.
