| A unique and challenging opportunity has arisen for an experienced Business Development Manager to work for an international consultancy firm with an established impressive reputation. The position would be within our client's Renewable Energy division which has an extensive track record in the renewable energy sector.
Key duties and responsibilities for the Business Developer will be:
• To undertake a strategic market review into the Renewable Energy sector including appraisal of clients, services, regions and identification of opportunities for profitable growth.
• To develop a business plan for the Renewable Energy sector, confirming those market areas that build on existing strengths and capabilities with the aim of identifying growth areas.
• To develop and communicate business opportunities, plus develop awareness and raise profile of the company within the sector.
Qualifications and experience required:
• Significant experience at senior level within the Renewable Energy Sector including proven business development experience, and involvement in some of the following areas; planning consent process for Renewable Energy projects in offshore wind, onshore wind, tidal, wave, biomass or waste to energy; economics of Renewable Energy and grants / subsidies; delivery of Renewable Energy projects; drivers and showstoppers of Renewable Energy projects; power generation and connection to grid; general engineering and environmental aspects of Renewable Energy projects.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, with a proven ability in influencing at senior levels and can demonstrate a sound commercial awareness.
• MICE / MIEE / MIMechE / MBA or equivalent accreditation
