POSITION SUMMARY
The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and driving a portfolio of cross-functional transformation initiatives throughout RIM's functional units. He/she will work with the company's global senior leadership, to develop and leverage organization-wide processes, capabilities and relationships to accelerate transformation, develop new scalable capabilities, and help develop process driven culture.
This candidate will identify and assess new program opportunities; potential impact and formulate strategic execution, both proactively and in response to changes in the RIM's cross-functional environment. In addition, this candidate will participate in the regular strategic planning process, providing guidance on process and methodology through recommendations
• Manage internal client relationships with executive stakeholders and senior management; interact at a high level with decision-makers to align with organizational goals and objectives
• Identify and develop strategic program execution framework, with clearly defined initiatives, KPI's and articulated business benefits
• Empower, coach and work closely with solution consultants, Process Analysts and other team resources; leading high performing cross-functional teams across multiple programs
• Strategic and operational planning with an action oriented and problem solving methodology
Participate in ongoing governance at planned milestones to ensure program benefits are realized
Skills:
ESSENTIAL SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
• 10 - 12 years progressive business/consulting experience
• 6 - 8 years progressive project, program and portfolio management
• 3 - 5 years program governance & strategic planning
• 5 - 8 years resource management
• Post secondary background in Business Administration or relevant experience
PMP/Six Sigma designation would be an asset
• Proven experience in identifying and formulating strategic opportunities (impact, business benefits, risks) for Enterprise wide business units to support the overall goals and objectives of the organization.
• Project Management training (PMI, Prince II, Agile/Scrum, Six Sigma)
• Expertise in organizational change management, business transformation, critical thinking and strategic project/program management
• High performance management, leadership and coaching others in a direct reporting relationship.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with all levels of the organization.
• Public speaking proficiency with presentation and facilitation
• People and team leadership
• Background in Telecom/Wireless industries or IT project management is a plus
