Title : Network Test Engineer
Position Type : 3-6 Months Contract
Location : San Diego, CA

Description:
BS or technical certification in the computer networking field and at least 2 years specific experience. The Network Test Engineer will test, evaluate and analyze Tactical Data Link, Radio data, and IP network applications, components, and systems. The candidate will be responsible for planning, coordinating, integrating, testing, and analyzing IP network systems and writing reports on the results. Duties will include developing test procedures in support of customer requirements and specifications documents, evaluating user network IP configurations, troubleshooting network issues, and exercising test procedures. The candidate will work closely with customer Integrated Product Teams (IPTs).
Requirements:
The candidate MUST have a Current/Active Secret clearance. The successful candidate must have: Strong computer/network IP experience with solid troubleshooting and testing abilities; Experience testing IP Routing/RIP/OSPF/BGP/MPLS/QOS; Experience in system level testing, stress & performance testing; Seeking strong Networking knowledge for: IP layer 2/3 (switching/routing), firewall, WAN optimization VPN, TCP/IP, UDP, DHCP, and other Networking protocols; and Familiarity with networking test tools and techniques, test design and execution.
The successful candidate should have: Strong technical writing skills; Experience writing test plans, test suites and test procedures at the black box and system test levels; and willingness to travel (1 - 4 times annually for one to two weeks).
Computer and Network certifications such as: CCNA/CCNP, MCP a plus
Experience in program phased system integration, multiple data link operational knowledge to include narrowband and wideband communications, knowledge of software test tools and their application for automated testing and experience in Military network and data link communications is also a plus.
