POSITION SUMMARY
The candidate will be working closely as a valued advisor to Product Management in both financial and non-financial matters. While a major area will be contributing financial analyses for new product business cases, the candidate should also be able to provide guidance on other areas of the business, such as demand planning, gross profit margin, new product development & introduction, product lifecycle, pricing, product portfolio management, target market identification/sizing and customer segmentation.
RESPONSIBILITIES
The successful candidate's responsibilities will include:
• Responsibility for the execution, management and delivery of financial processes, reporting and controls
• Providing key analysis to the annual budgeting, quarterly planning and monthly forecasting process
• Developing and oversee processes for tracking and reporting financial performance to various divisions
• Gathering and reporting on product-specific metrics to support product decisions (e.g. R&D spend, % on time development, time to deliver new products, etc.)
Skills:
ESSENTIAL SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
• University Degree, preferably in Business Administration and/or Engineering combined with CA, CMA or MBA
• Minimum of 7 years of experience in working with and providing support for product division in a leadership capacity
• Proven history of building strong cross-functional business relationships
• Superb business acumen
• Strong understanding of the product management functions and related concepts
• Excellent written and verbal skills
• Experience within the telecommunications and/or consumer electronics industry would be a definite asset
