DUTIES:
Experience level – advanced – 5+ year’s experience
IT Business Analysts are responsible for analyzing and translating business requirements into functional requirements, and also have the ability to further refine requirements into functional specifications. They may also work directly with business users to elicit requirements as part of a project or in the development of application enhancements.
Preferred skills (in addition to those listed in Job Description):
a) Experience with Geographic Information Systems
b) Experience with geographic based Visualization tools
c) Experience in reviewing vendor products / conducting RFIs
d) Experience in developing a business case
e) Client is engaged in an assessment to explore how geographic based visualization tools could benefit the organization.
f) This assessment will explore the potential business benefits of using this technology, survey the market to select potential visualization platforms, prototype a solution and make recommendations to management as to how to proceed using this technology.
g) The Business Analyst will work as part of the core project team documenting business requirements / benefits, assisting in analyzing vendor products and assist in developing a roadmap / business case for moving forward.
h) Candidate will be expected to interact directly with core team members, business users, product vendors and industry consultants.
