Job Title: Healthcare Business Analyst
Position Type: Contract
Location: Philadelphia, PA
Duration: 3+ Months
Inperson Interview required after phone screen
DUTIES:
a) Play a lead role in interacting with all necessary stakeholders to help define functional requirements relative to various healthcare payer projects.
b) Define systems scope and objectives of business requirements, including documentation of requirements (i.e. use cases) and translation into system requirement specifications.
c) Lead JAD sessions and create process flows and current/future state documentation using VISIO.
d) Evaluate existing business and operational flows and define the As-Is process models, then define To-Be process models for business process re-engineering initiatives.
Required Skills:
i) Minimum of 8 years of total I.T. experience including at least 6 years experience as a Business Analyst.
ii) Must have extensive healthcare experience on the “payer” (insurance) side.
iii) Solid understanding of the System Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
iv) Must be customer focused – meaning must be able to understand the importance stakeholders business objectives and drive the process towards achieving those objectives.
v) Strong interpersonal skills and proven track record in working with all levels of an organization’s technical and business departments.
vi) Experience conducting and leading JAD sessions.
vii) Use Case development is required; UML prototyping and diagramming experience is a plus
viii) Proficient in MS Project and VISIO.
ix) They must be senior enough to lead and drive the process with minimal supervision. If the candidate has been in a BA Lead role in the past, that is a plus.
x) Must be a self-starter, enthusiastic; and possess very strong organizational, task management and prioritization skills.
xi) Demonstrated ability to complete deliverables on time and within budget.
xii) Bachelor’s degree is required.
